The maths is your minutes each way, doubled, times the days a week you go in, times the weeks you work in a year. Turned into full days, a long commute can take weeks of your year.

  1. A week: 45 minutes × 2 × 5 days ÷ 60 = 7.5 hours.
  2. A year: 7.5 hours × 48.2 weeks = 361 hours, or 15 full days.
  3. With 4 days in: 72 hours back a year.
