When will you do it?

How we worked this out
  1. Extra: 55 hours minus 45 hours = 10 hours a week.
  2. A year: 10 hours × 48.2 weeks = 482 hours.
  3. In working days of 9 hours: 482 ÷ 9 = 54.
  4. How much it matters to you: 7 out of 10. It only changes the order on your statement.

How it works

We take the hours you really work, minus the hours in your contract, then multiply by the weeks you work in a year.

To show it as working days, we divide by a normal day in your contract.

51% of India's workers put in 49 or more hours a week, according to ILO data. India's own labour survey finds lower averages, so both are shown in our sources.
