Yet to Decide

Is it too late to do the thing you've always wanted to do?

Most dreams don't end with a no. They end with "someday". This weighs how much yours matters to you, and finds the very first step.

How much it weighs

Weighs 7 out of 10

It weighs 7 out of 10, and it's on your mind every week

Over a lifetime, people regret what they didn't do far more than what they did. Unfinished plans keep coming back to mind. Writing down when you'll take the first step helps quiet them.

When will you do it?

How we worked this out
  1. How much it matters: 7 out of 10.
  2. How much you'd regret it at 80: 7 out of 10.
  3. Weight: (7 + 7) ÷ 2 = 7 out of 10.
  4. On your mind: every week.
  5. How scary starting feels: 5 out of 10. It changes the words we use, not the weight.
  6. Waiting for 1 year.
  7. There are no rupees here on purpose. Some things are better weighed than counted.

How it works

Some things can't be counted in rupees or hours, and pretending they can would feel cold. So we weigh them the way researchers measure feelings: with simple 0 to 10 ratings.

The weight is the average of two answers: how much it matters to you, and how much you'd regret never doing it, imagined at 80. How often it's on your mind and how scary starting feels change the order and the words, not the weight.

Over a lifetime, people regret what they didn't do far more than what they did. Chances not taken were one of the four big kinds of regret in the World Regret Survey.

Questions people ask

Am I too old to start?

For most dreams, no. What changes with time is how much of it you get to enjoy. That's why the first step matters more than the perfect plan.

What if I can't afford it right now?

Find the very first step anyway: a free class, a date, or the real cost. Knowing the cost often makes it feel possible.
