SSC CGL age limit: how many chances you have left
SSC CGL has no limit on attempts, so the age limit is what closes the door. Each year you wait is one sitting gone.

Leave it at 0 for the usual limit. For central exams, put in the General limit and we add your category's years. For a state PSC, put in the limit for your category.

What waiting costs you
11 sittings left
11 SSC CGL sittings left
You can sit once a year until you turn 33. 1 sitting passed while you waited. That's for posts with the highest limit, 32. Many posts close at 27 or 30, so put your post's limit above.

How we worked this out
- Who can sit: from age 18 until you turn 33.
- Sittings by age: once a year from 22 until 33 = 11.
- No limit on attempts for this category.
- Age is counted on a cut-off date in each notice, so this can be off by one. Check the official notice for your year.
- How much it matters to you: 7 out of 10. It only changes the order on your statement.

How it works
SSC CGL fills many posts, and each has its own upper age limit: 27, 30 or 32. The lower limit is 18 for most posts.
OBC candidates get 3 more years and SC and ST candidates 5 more.
We count up to the highest limit, 32, unless you put in your post's own limit. Age is usually counted on 1 August of the exam year.
